The Commons

In between all the academic reading I'm supposed to do, I snuck in a book for leisure. Instant reminder of how amazing books can be.

I always find a piece or two of myself in books. Sometimes in reading, sometimes in re-reading, and sometimes in reflection.

Books stay the same, but the possibilities they hold change (or expand) with time. There's no limit to the pieces I can find throughout my lifetime, if the story is relevant to me. The more I take the more meaning the story has.

And the greatest resources seem to be these timeless things, from which generations and generations have taken (or reclaimed) pieces of themselves as inspiration or knowledge, in the process defining and redefining not just themselves but the sources as well.

I like this renewability, and this inexhaustibility.
